India is known as the youngest nation on earth with a youth population of more than sixty per cent. FCIs vision is to equip and empower the emerging leaders of the church and provide a platform for them so that they will begin to see the present day world with a different perspective and provide answers to questions that the church has been searching for to reach out to its younger generations.

Reshma Rai – I grew up in a family where my mom and dad used to quarrel and fight a lot. This left me emotionally, mentally and physically hurt and abused. I grew up a lost and lonely child. I went through child depression. I started and took refuge in smoking, drugs and alcohol. One day someone told me about a Youth Conference of Four Corners Initiatives. I had a miraculous encounter with Jesus and following up, I attended a 3 month long School of Ministry Development and Church Planting at Four Corners Center. This left me with a huge challenge to go back, organize my life and dedicate my life for the Lord. Serving Him however was the last thing in my wish and career list. But the Lord had other plans for my life. He was working in me and I had no choice but to say Yes to what He had planned for me. After much battle with the Lord, I finally gave up and moved to a remote place, away from my friends, family and church to Salu, a small tea estate in Darjeeling with a population of 500 families. A small church started. The Lord showed me the life of orphans and He led me to bring those children home to live with me. I have 15 abandoned children living with me. Later on, a need for a school came up. I prayed and started a school which now has 60 children to daily wage workers of the tea garden. I praise God for His plans for my Life and the role that Four Corners has played in equipping me for the mission to reach out to the people of the Himalayas.
Samir Tirwa – I attended the first Youth On Fire Conference organised by Four Corners. This became a turning point for my life. Graduating from the Ron Music School of Worship became a turning point for my life. My life was transformed and there was a huge urge that could not be shaken off. However hard I tried, the call kept getting more stronger and intense. The voices became louder and louder, the wailings and cries of this people came to a din and I had to say, “Yes Lord! Here I am.” That's how the journey and ministry in Bihar began. The urge and the voice was so loud and engaging that I had to tell my friends, even if I have sell tea at the railway station, I will go. If not the cries and call of the people will make me insane….”
Thus began the journey of worship. It was a compelling vision of the snow from the mountains melting and flowing down to the plains and valley that broadened my worship experience beyond the four walls of the church and singing about His love and grace to the people whom I had never met before. Presently I am working amongst the churches specially targeting the young people in northern states of India. God has blessed me with a beautiful and gracious wife Subarna and two children.
SCHOOL OF BUSINESS FOR MISSIONS
In our journey of equipping and working with the churches around us, we are more convinced that the time has come for the church to step into the marketplace with the gospel of the kingdom with larger and inclusive strategy. There is an even greater need to raise up young, passionate Business Leaders in the churches who will be able to see the big picture of His kingdom invading the marketplace and take up their roles in this mission. We believe that the future of the Himalayan churches is in the cities.
We have initiated a fund called the Mustard Seed Fund to provide a start-up capital grant for the graduates of this school. MSF is a Corpus Fund created by Christ following Business persons with sole objective to help upcoming Christ following entrepreneurs to help themselves break free from the cycle of poverty and be a means to help others in the community and ultimately missions globally.
TRAINING & CONFERENCE
COHORT - LEAD HIMAL TRAINING
This is an intensive five module training of four days each for the emerging leaders with a focus on a Christian's role in preserving the environment, role and responsibilities of the church in the poor and needy world, Leadership Management and Conflict Management and Resolution. This training has brought the leadership management of many young leaders to a new level of growth and fruitfulness.
REGIONAL YOUTH ON FIRE CONFERENCE
FCI organizes an Annual Youth On Fire Conference for the young emerging leaders of the Himalayan region. It is the first of its kind inter-denominational gathering of Passionate young souls from across the Himalayas and North East India where they receive cutting edge training on subjects like Missions, Media, Leadership, Integral Missions and worship. More than ten thousand young people have been a part of this festival.
